Reason For Wolverhampton vs Newcastle Betting Tips

Key points Wolverhampton - Newcastle

  • Wolves have only won two of their six Premier League games this season.
  • Newcastle have only lost one of their last five in all competitions, drawing each of the remaining four.
  • The last five meetings between Newcastle and Wolves have all ended 1-1.

Conclusion Wolverhampton - Newcastle

Wolves struggling on home soil

A Raul Jimenez winner – his first goal since his horrific head injury last season – helped Wolves to their second Premier League win of the season last weekend but they don’t justify their favourites tag against Newcastle on Saturday.

Bruno Lage’s side have lost four of their six league games and both their victories have come away from home and, while some of their attacking play has been promising, it’s clear they lack a cutting edge in the final third.

Magpies searching for first win of the season

Newcastle aren’t exactly flying high in fairness. The Magpies are yet to win a competitive game this season and Steve Bruce is becoming more unpopular with the away fans by the day, but they have made themselves fairly difficult to beat in recent weeks.

In fact, while they are struggling for wins, Newcastle have only lost one of their last five outings in 90 minutes and that came away to Manchester United.  They have every chance of walking away from Molineux with something on Saturday.

Stalemate streak to continue at Molineux

That’s exactly what I’m backing them to do. The Magpies are unbeaten against Wolves in five competitive outings and have only lost one of their last five in all competitions, so a Newcastle double chance looks a tasty price.
