Reason For Udinese vs Milan Betting Tips

Key points Udinese - Milan

  • Udinese have only won two of their eight home matches this campaign.
  • Udinese sacked manager Luca Gotti this week after a run of four without a win.
  • League leaders AC Milan have won six of eight on their travels in Serie A.

Conclusion Udinese - Milan

Injury-hit leaders face managerless Udinese

AC Milan are looking to bounce back from their Champions League disappointment on Saturday night, but have a number of selection problems to contend with. Olivier Giroud, Raphael Leao, Ante Rebic, Samu Castillejo and Simon Kjaer are all out, with the latter’s season over after the Danish defender suffered a dreadful cruciate ligament injury.

Although depleted, Milan travel to Udinese with a fantastic away record to defend. The Rossoneri have won six of eight on the road this term, with a draw at Juventus and a loss at Fiorentina the only exceptions. Milan have not failed to beat any of the teams currently in the bottom eight of the table, with Saturday’s hosts sat in 14th.

Udinese’s four-match winless run saw them part company with manager Luca Gotti this week, and they will be managed by an interim manager, former Crawley Town boss Gabriele Cioffi, on Saturday. Udinese have won just two of eight home Serie A games, and not tasted victory over top-half opponents this campaign.

Milan have enough depth to cope

Many have questioned whether Milan’s injury problems have been exacerbated by Stefano Pioli’s high intensity, pressing style, and the league leaders will be without several key attackers for this clash, just as they were for Tuesday’s meek 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
