Reason For Southampton vs West Ham Betting Tips

Key points Southampton - West Ham

  • Both teams have scored in all of West Ham and Southampton’s Premier League games so far.#
  • West Ham are unbeaten, with seven points from three games.
  • Saints have just two points from their three games so far.
  • Pablo Fornals has scored in each of his last four games for club and country.

Conclusion Southampton - West Ham

Expect goals at St Mary’s

Southampton and West Ham meet in the Premier League on Saturday and goals could well be on the agenda at St Mary’s.

The Hammers sit in second spot in the standings with seven points from three games so far, while Saints have two points from their three fixtures.

Both teams have scored in all six of the Premier League games involving one of these two sides so far this season and I’m expecting that pattern to continue this weekend.

Saints played out a 2-2 draw with Newcastle in their last fixture and West Ham have also conceded two against the same opponents, although they went on to win that clash 4-2.

In-form Hammers can secure three points

Southampton managed to claim a point in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in their only home fixture so far this season but they rode their luck during that game and were lucky to get a result.  Their goal came via a Fred own goal, and United only managed four shots on target despite creating 15 opportunities.

West Ham scored four at Newcastle in their only away outing so far and then put four past Leicester, before being held to a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

As West Ham have 10 goals in three games and Southampton have conceded six, a 3-1 win for the visitors has a chance and is my correct score prediction.

Fornals stands out as anytime option

West Ham’s Michail Antonio looks a solid option for an anytime goal but the bigger price on Pablo Fornals has real appeal here.

The 25-year-old midfielder has scored in each of his last two appearances for his club and then hit two in two games for Spain during the international break, meaning he has scored in each of his last four games for club and country.
