Reason For Slovakia vs Bulgaria Betting Tips

Key points Slovakia - Bulgaria

  • Slovakia have won four of their last seven home games including a 2-1 victory against Russia last time out.
  • Bulgaria have won just one of their last dozen matches, losing eight.
  • The visitors are also without a win in their last 11 away trips (D5, L6).

Conclusion Slovakia - Bulgaria

Slovakia to see off substandard opposition

Slovakia aren’t the most reliable team in Europe for punters to get behind but Stefan Tarkovic’s side should find a way past a poor Bulgaria outfit this week.

This is the first of two warm-up matches for the Slovakians ahead of their Euro 2020 opener against Poland on 14th June and anything other than a home victory would be a surprise, with Bulgaria losing eight of their last 12 (W1, D3) and failing to win any of their last 11 away trips (D5, L6).

Slovakia are prone to the odd howler as typified by their 2-2 draw against Malta in March, but they have won four from their last seven on home soil including a decent 2-1 triumph over Russia last time out.

Tarkovic’s men aren’t expected to pull up any trees at this summer’s championships, but the lowly standard of opposition this Tuesday, coupled with home advantage, means they should be snapped up at a shade of odds-on.

We’re expecting the Slovakians to win comfortably here without being sensational, and with Bulgaria failing to score in their last five away starts, 2-0 is our correct score prediction.
