Reason For QPR vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tips

  • QPR come into this clash without a victory in their last 5.
  • Last season they were plagued by bad form.
  • Forest have lost 1 of their last 10 Championship trips.
  • QPR have lost every meeting with a top 8 Championship side this term.

Rs Seek to Fix Wobble

QPR have seen their form collapse after early hopes of a playoff bid. The hosts come into this one in poor form, but can they prove their top-six credentials when they host fifth-placed Nottingham Forest? It’s going to be a tall order trying to sort out their problems against one of the best travelling sides in the division.

The hosts have failed to win their last five matches in the Championship, which has pushed them down to 12th in the table. They need to turn around that downward spiral, but QPR have a tough four-game run ahead, which will spark some negative memories of last season.

Spectre of McClaren

Steve McClaren may have been replaced by Mark Warburton, but the former QPR manager knows that the club are capable of falling apart like this. The Rs went on a brilliant run of form to contend for the top six, but that was sandwiched between two bouts of relegation-worthy results. They started poorly and put McClaren in the firing line, while he was finished after QPR stumbled across the line last season.

If that kind of poor form takes hold of QPR once again it could be a major problem for Warburton. However, this has been an issue for the Rs for a while now, while their tough run ahead points to their winless run being extended further. That starts on Wednesday, a clash which pits them against a Forest team who are flying right now.

Forest’s Form to Continue

The visitors head into this clash having lost just once in their last 10 away trips in the Championship. Overall this season Forest have lost only three times in 16 matches, a fine run which should help them build on a solid point from the weekend. Forest were able to hold Bristol City to a draw at Ashton Gate, their latest big result of the campaign.

The visitors have already faced four of their fellow top seven sides on the road, going unbeaten through that run. They should expect to prey on this struggling Rs side, with the hosts losing three of their last four home meetings with Forest. That streak could well continue, as QPR have now faced six of the current top eight, losing all six. Given that form, Forest Double Chance seems like good value here.

We’re also backing up that form with a 2-1 victory for Forest in this clash. The hosts have lost three of their last four games, while Forest come into this one with two wins in three. Following their winning run at this ground, we think that the best correct score option here is a 2-1 away win.
