Reason For Livingston vs Hamilton Betting Tips

A struggling Livingston side will host Hamilton on Saturday at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Can the visitors cause an upset? Read on for all our Scottish Premiership predictions and betting tips.

Livingston comes into this tie after suffering their 3rd defeat in a row last weekend to Celtic which has left them hovering over the relegation zone and are now a mere 2 points above it. The West Lothian side suffered 2 of their last 3 defeats away, with their home loss coming against Rangers.

Livi’s home record is slightly better although it’s not too good either. Gary Holt’s side has netted a measly average of 0.67 goals at the Tony Macaroni Arena, whilst also conceding a mere 0.83 times. Whilst the club has kept a clean sheet in 50% of their home games, they’ve also failed to score in 67% of those ties. Moreover, Livingston has seen over 1.5 goals in 67% of home games. The club will also be without Nicky Devlin and Cécé Pepe, with both defenders being injured since October.

Hamilton went back to their losing ways last week as they were unable to cause Rangers any real trouble, as the club ended up losing 3-1 to the Gers. The Accies are yet to win away from home this season, although they’ve only lost 3 of their 6 away games.

Brian Rice’s side has seen a lot of goals on their travels, with 67% of games seeing over 3.5 goals and only one ending goalless. Hamilton has scored an average of 1 goal and concedes 2.5 times, letting in a total of 15 goals- although 5 were scored by Rangers in one match. Hamilton has seen over 1.5 goals in 83% of their away days.

The Accies will be without Ryan Fulton, Will Collar, Ciaran McKenna, Marios Ogboe, Brian Easton, Blair Alston and Aaron McGowan- although they’ve all been out since the end of October.

Despite their positions in the league, this is very much a relegation battle. We believe that Hamilton Double Chance is a good shout here, as the Accies have managed 3 draws in their last 5 away days, whilst Livingston has only won once in their last 5 home ties. We’re also going for a final score of 1-1, as 2 of Hamilton’s 3 away draws have seen both teams score and over 1.5 goals, whilst Livingston has seen both teams score in 50% of their draws this season.
