Reason For Celtic vs Hibernian Betting Tips

  • Celtic are unbeaten in their last 27 matches on home turf and have only dropped points on two occasions.
  • Hibs have scored at least one goal in their last five away fixtures.
  • The hosts have won by at least two goals in seven of their eight home games this season.

Unbeaten Celtic at Paradise

Celtic will return to Celtic Park for the first time since beating Rangers in the League Cup final last week and the Hoops will be looking to extend their seven-game winning streak in the Premiership. Moreover, the hosts are undefeated in their last 12 domestic fixtures.

Celtic also boast the best home record in the division, where they’ve failed to lose any of their last 27 games and have won 25 of them. The Hoops have also done extremely well in both attack and defence, as they’ve racked up an impressive 16 goals in their last five home matches and have only conceded once. Neil Lennon’s side has also won by at least two goals in seven of their eight games at Celtic Park this season.

Hibs can’t find the balance between scoring and conceding

Hibs recovered their winning form last weekend as Jack Ross’ side comfortably beat Aberdeen 3-0 at Easter Road, following a couple of winless matches and the club now sits in the top half of the league table.

Despite not taking all three points that often away from home, the Hibees have managed to put their shooting boots on in recent weeks, as they’ve scored at least once in their last five games, netting an average of 1.8 goals. However, the Edinburgh club has also not done so well in defence, where they’ve let in six goals from their previous five away days.

Incoming goal-fest

There have been 1.5 goals scored in all of Celtic’s home games as well as in all of Hibs’ away days, and there’s no reason why this won’t happen again. However, the hosts’ firepower up front- namely their 3.63 goals on average at home- will more than likely be too much for a Hibs side that has failed to keep a clean sheet on the road this season. We think there’s value in Celtic -2, as they have won by a margin of two goals in seven of their eight games in Glasgow. We’re also going for a 3-1 win for the Hoops, as we feel the visitors will be able to keep up with their scoring trend on the road- where they’ve netted an average of 1.25 goals this season and have done so in their last five fixtures.
