Reason For Brest vs Nice Betting Tips
It appeared as if the speculation regarding manager Patrick Vieira’s link with the Arsenal job had begun to affect the Nice players but those rumours were put to bed last week as les AIglons put four past Metz. It was a thoroughly impressive performance from Nice who scored after just nine minutes to put their dominance on the match. Vieira’s men have now won three and drawn one of their last six games and now sit on the cusp of the top ten.
Nice’s attack has been much better in their last six games with twelve goals being scored in this time. Kasper Dolberg is turning into a fantastic signing for Nice with three of these goals but other players like Wylan Cyprien and Pierre Lees Melou have been chipping in as well. However, much of Nice’s success this season has come at the Allianz Riviera where they consistently play their best football, it has been a different story on the road.
Vieira’s men have lost each of their last seven away games in all competitions with 16 goals conceded along the way and six scored in return. They really have been like a completely different side on the road with Ligue 2 side Le Mans even putting three past them earlier in the cup. Nice will need to be careful here as they face a Brest side desperate for some points.
More than meets the eye with Brest
Brest have won just one of their last six games but this really doesn’t tell the full story as there have been some incredibly gutsy performances from les Ty’Zefs in here. They pushed each member of the top three right to the edge (PSG: 1-2, Marseille: 1-2, Lille: 0-1) and managed to pull off an incredible 5-0 thrashing of Strasbourg along the way so they haven’t been playing that badly despite the lack of wins, their opponents have just been incredibly difficult but they could be on for the three points here as Nice come to town.
Brest have lost just one of their nine home matches this season, against PSG, and they should be aiming to continue this incredible run of form at the Stade Francis-Le-Blé. They’ve scored 15 goals and conceded just six there and if they can pull off a similar performance to the one they showcased to Strasbourg they’ll be on their way to the win.
Home form to the rescue
Nice are such a frustrating team to watch as their inconsistency has consistently plagued them during the one and a half years Vieira has been in charge. While they were impressive against Metz, they face a much better team here and one that loves playing in front of its own fans. Nice seem incapable of winning on the road at the moment so we’re edging this one to the home side.
Les Aiglons have four goals in their last three away games and should be able to convert in this match after their emphatic win last week but with Brest in such good form at the Stade Francis-Le-Blé we’re backing this one to finish 2-1 to the hosts. We’re also backing Brest to score over 1.5 goals as they have done this in four of their last six home games while Nice have conceded as many in five of their last seven away trips in all competitions.
Home win: 2.55
Away win: 2.76
Over 2.5 goals: 1.84
Under 2.5 goals: 1.97
